UPDATE – March 30, 2020: Closure of the Winter 2020 Session and Cancellation of the Spring 2020 Session

We would like to begin by thanking all our community members for your support. Your health and safety during this difficult time is very important to us and we recognize the challenges of maintaining social distancing. We very much appreciate your understanding as we evaluate the Centre operational considerations due to the COVID-19 situation.

As per government directives, we have officially closed our Winter 2020 Session and cancelled the Spring 2020 Session. However, if we receive directives that we can reopen operations in May, we will evaluate how we can offer a shortened Spring 2020 Session.

Notices will be sent out this week to both the Winter Session and the Spring Session participants. Our Board and Staff would like to sincerely thank you for your support of the Centre and we look forward to when we can all come back together.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the support and participation of community members with our Centre courses and our outreach programs in the community. We are taking the time during this closure period to strengthen and further develop what we offer for when we resume our programming.

We are also evaluating offering some online initiatives for our community. More information will follow over the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, we will continue to post links on our Facebook page to credible online educational and creative resources for all ages.

We hope that you and your families are staying safe and healthy. Please continue to follow government directives to maintain social distancing and we really look forward to when we can all come together again.

Sincerely,

Sarah Ford
WIWC Executive Director
