Meditation and Yoga
Each class begins with 50 minutes of Hatha yoga, a gentle yoga that can be practiced by all levels of students. The yoga portion helps get your body and mind ready for meditation. In the meditation portion of the class, you will practice different types of meditation, from simply quieting your mind to changing your thoughts. Each week, we will focus on thoughts, positive thinking, and breathing techniques. You will experience in greater detail what is in your mind, your specific thoughts, and how they impact your feelings. The series of meditations are designed to quiet your mind, release stress, anger and other negative feelings. Once your mind is ready, you will be able to start changing your old habits and begin the journey of improving aspects of your life. Please bring a yoga mat to class and wear comfortable clothing.
