Message to our community about our COVID protocols

As of September 3, 2021

Dear community members,

The health and safety of our members and program participants is of the utmost importance to the West Island Women’s Centre. As we reopen the Centre to in-person activities, we have instituted all required health and safety regulations from Quebec Public Health as of September 1, 2021. This includes the COVID screening questionnaire before each class/activity, cleaning and sanitary measures implemented on a regular basis, physical distancing measures, reduced class/activity sizes, a physical distancing barrier between the instructors and the class, and the implementation of the Quebec Vaccine Passport system for members/participants attending in-person courses and activities at the physical location of the West Island Women’s Centre at 11 Rodney, Pointe-Claire.

Risks will still exist, and so we ask all members, participants, instructors, and staff to continue to follow all Public Health Guidelines to help limit these risks. We also are following all labour and CNESST regulations for employees of the Centre. This includes respecting the confidentiality of health and vaccine status of WIWC employees (including instructors, childcare workers, and staff). With this in mind, we will apply all sanitary and health measures to help reduce the risk of virus transmission, regardless of people’s vaccination status.

The West Island Women’s Centre Board and staff sincerely thank our community members for their support and patience as we work towards restarting in-person courses, childcare, and activities.
