Understanding Stress & Regulating Your Nervous System
Stress doesn’t just affect how we feel — it can also show up in our bodies, our thoughts, and the way we move through our day.
This interactive workshop will help you better understand what happens in your body when you’re under stress and introduce practical, in-the-moment tools to help you respond differently. You’ll gain a deeper awareness of your own stress patterns and learn a simple framework you can use in everyday life — without adding another task to your already-full to-do list.
Rather than a traditional lecture, this is a guided, experiential workshop that includes reflection, journaling, and hands-on practice.
This workshop may be for you if you:
- Feel like you’re constantly in “go mode” with no real off switch
- Notice stress showing up as racing thoughts, tension, mood changes, or feeling emotionally flat
- Have tried breathing exercises or self-care practices but find them difficult to maintain or not quite enough
- Want to feel more grounded, present, and better able to navigate stressful moments
No prior knowledge of nervous system regulation or mindfulness is required. Participants are welcome to sit in a chair, on the floor, or alternate between the two — whatever feels most comfortable.
