Infertility Support Group – Spring 2023
The hope of this group would be to bring together women who know each other’s struggles and to make it known that they are not alone.
Infertility is an issue that can go on for years. This can make it very difficult to find the will to continue with the procedures. For many women, the struggle of accepting that they are not able to conceive naturally is something that wears on them. It is a pressure set out by society. It makes it even more difficult when women around them are continually getting pregnant and having healthy babies while they are sitting by the sidelines. This is why many feel disenfranchised grief regarding their struggles.
In addition, many women are not educated about the physical toll the treatments will have on their bodies. My hope is to provide concrete scientific backed information that can help them understand what is to be expected and what can be done about it. Participants can support each other by sharing their own struggles and offering suggestions of what has been helpful for them.
