Help Wanted: Substitute Childcare Workers

The West Island Women's Centre is looking for a Substitute Childcare Worker  for the winter session. Our childcare service operates weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for mothers enrolled in our courses and activities. As a substitute worker, you will fill in for the regular staff as needed on an on-call basis. If you are looking for a new opportunity or are rejoining the work force and enjoy working with children, then this could be the thing for you! April Activities in Childcare are here!

Week 1: It will be a busy Monday through Thursday with making baskets, bunny hats, and hatching chicks as well as making Passover place mats and Seder cups. There will also be an Easter egg hunt on Thursday! Week 2: In honour of Earth Day on Tuesday we will be learning how to recycle using things found on the ground ( sticks, acorns etc.) and turn them into creative art. Free Childcare

The Women’s Centre’s free childcare service is highly valued by our members. It enables mothers with preschool-aged children to participate in our daytime courses and activities. The service is available for all registered children from birth to 5 years. When space permits, the service is also available for school-aged children up to 8 years of age on board-wide pedagogical days. Suggestions are always welcome!
