International Women’s Day
The West Island Women’s Centre’s International Women’s Day (IWD) 2024 networking event was a great success. Sixteen community organizations participated and we were inspired by our keynote speakers, Joan Lee, from Wibca Montreal and Thi Be Nguyen from the Canada-ASEAN Business Council who shared their wealth of experience about building inclusive communities that invest in women.
Leaders from the community, elected officials and our members came in great numbers to support the Centre’s mission. At WIWC, we’re dedicated to empowering all women by offering affordable classes, new arrival outreach programs, free childcare and tailored support groups to address the needs of women in our community. Thanks to everyone who attended and supported and special thanks to Pierrefonds-Roxboro Borough for a wonderful space!
