Courses begin on September 21st!

We are excited to announce that the West Island Women's Centre will reopen for classes starting on September 21st! We will have courses at the Centre with physical distancing measures put in place, as well as outside classes. We will also offer a great selection of online courses. For weekday daytime courses at the Centre, our free childcare service will be available with all safety protocols put into place. Stay tuned for the launch of the course schedule and descriptions on Wednesday August 26th. Participate in our Seniors’ Social Hour on Fridays

Are you, or a senior in your life, in need of some social contact this fall? We are very pleased to have a Senior Social Hour every Friday at 1pm at the West Island Women's Centre. It will start on Friday, September 25th. All physical distancing measures will be in place, with the group meeting outside as much as possible. Cerebral Palsy Guidance

Cerebral Palsy Guidance was created to provide answers and assistance to parents of a child with cerebral palsy. Our goal is to reach as many members of the cerebral palsy community as possible, building up a network of support, as well as providing necessary assistance. We cover cerebral palsy from all angles–from symptoms, causes, and treatment, to daily living information, such as communication and transitioning to adulthood articles.

West Island Lakers Basketball

The West Island Lakers Basketball Association (WILBA) is a non-profit organization which was started in the 1960’s. WILBA is committed in doing what is right for the players. Membership has grown to over 900 members, starting at pre-novice, 6 years of age, up through juvenile,18 years of age (house league). A girls league was started in 1999. Coaches and assistant coaches receive training through clinics. The referees and minor official staff are developed from within the organization.
