Pointe-Claire Block Parents
We are proud to announce the re-establishment of Block Parents in our community, thanks to the initiative of one parent planting a seed and watching it grow into public interest on the West Island and, finally, into community groups.
In Pointe-Claire, we started as a few parents interested in developing and maintaining our small-town feel of community while dealing with a larger-city population. Seeing as knowing thy neighbour is not always that easy, particularly when there are 31 000 of them, we had to look to other ways we could bring the community together to create a safe and pleasant environment for the people of Pointe-Claire.

News from the Women’s Centre
Welcome to the beginning of a very special year at the West Island Women’s Centre! This year, we celebrate our organization’s 40th anniversary. We have arrived at this important milestone thanks to a huge number of women. From the small group who worked together to create our organization back in 1975 to last year’s stellar team of volunteers and staff, the Women’s Centre’s story is filled with hardworking and inspiring women. And with the help of our members and staff, our story will continue for many more years to come. Let the celebrations begin!

April Activities in Childcare are here!
Week 1:
It will be a busy Monday through Thursday with making baskets, bunny hats, and hatching chicks as well as making Passover place mats and Seder cups. There will also be an Easter egg hunt on Thursday!
Week 2:
In honour of Earth Day on Tuesday we will be learning how to recycle using things found on the ground ( sticks, acorns etc.) and turn them into creative art.
It would be great if each child brought in one or two small items that they found to turn into their own creation or collage. The latter part of the week we will paint and decorate Cherry blossom trees and learn about the importance of taking care of trees and our ...

Flex Workshop 1: You and the Importance of a Notarized Will and Mandate
We all want our best for our families and strive to keep them safe and protected. What happens if you become incapacitated? How can you protect yourself and your loved ones? How do wills and mandates differ? In this informative workshop, notary Sabrini Crespi will review the benefits of having these documents done and touch on some of the consequences of not doing so.
This workshop will take place on Wednesday, October 9th, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
